Are you gonna buy the DVD?

The new Disney Channel Original Movie, StarStruck, starring Sterling Knight and Danielle Campbell, premiered on Valentine’s Day evening. It was nice to see a new face on Disney Channel – and I’m hoping we’ll be seeing more of Miss Campbell because she’s definitely one of the most talented actresses I’ve seen. Demi Lovato got big because of Camp Rock – and if we’re lucky, StarStruck will do the same thing for Danielle Campbell.

(I’m usually supposed to be posting about Zac Efron and the Jonas Brothers, but I felt that somebody had to post about this movie.)

We Are The World was originally recorded 25 years ago, and is written by Micheal Jackson and Lionel Richie. It was originally created to to benefit African famine relief. It featured artists such as; Jackson, Richie, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Cyndi Lauper, Bob Dylan and Ray Charles.

On Febuary 1 2010, We Are The World will be re-recorded to benefit the Earthquake in Haiti. Some artists who may be in We Are The World are; Miley Cyrus,Kanye West, Celine Dion, Wyclef Jean, Usher, Natalie Cole, and John Legend & Sugarland. The re-recoding has been planned by Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie.

Quincy Jones tol E! “‘It’s the 25th anniversary and it’s perfect timing.. It’s not an accident, man. That’s God. It will be ‘We Are The World’ for Haiti.”

The song is also expected to invoke Micheal Jackson.

It has long been rumoured that the High School Musical star, 22, would be joining the cast but Efron claimed he hadn’t “got that call yet” but would definitely be interested.

“That would be amazing,” he told Access Hollywood. “I think that they’re amazing and I love the cast that they’ve got going on.”

Actor Justin Bartha, who starred in the first film as missing pal Doug Billings, said they would welcome Efron with open arms – or any heartthrob for that matter.  “If it gets people in the seats, yes, Zac Efron and the ‘Twilight’ guy. All the ‘Twilight’ guys — every one of them with their shirts off, and Will Smith.”

Filming is due to start later this year on The Hangover 2.
